History

The Madman's background and identity is largely unknown. He was at one point an inmate, while there, he is part of a group of prisoners who are subjected to horrific medical experimentation. This was done by a rouge special weapons development program, who's goal was to create superhuman enhance soldiers. Unknown even to them, fund by one of The Ender's Elite's who have been watch and mess with Earth development for centuries. They all died under gruesome circumstances, except for two, Red and "The Madman". The Madman, nothing physically wrong with him but his mind had been warped by the experimentation. Still, his actions seem to maintain a twisted logic. He became smarter, stronger, faster, also he healed faster than human. However, his scars on his back never changed, this maybe partially mental and physically controlled by him as reminders of various torturous experiments done to him and his fellow inmates.

The Escape and wearing Green

Many years later, a dying alien named ------, member of the Green Lantern Corps, crash-landed his ship in the Arizona desert. Having selected a replacement officer for his position, the power ring chose The Madman for his ability to overcome great fear and strength of will. The ring and its abilities were explained to him, and he inherited the mantle of Green Lantern. Acting as a galactic police officer, it was his job to serve and protect all life in Sector 2814. He used his new powers to break out, learn what he could about his captors and destroy the underground base, he was in. He would soon learn that there were another 3599 Green Lanterns across the universe, all monitored and empowered by mystical creatures called the Guardians. He would later meet Superman (Brig-verse), Superwoman (Brig-verse) and Martian Sorcerer (Brig-verse).
