Emile (Earth-1138)

Emile Marcellus Danton was the son of Hatian scientist Olivier de L'Isle and Nu'Bia of Themyscira. When Olivier crashed in Amazon airspace after being shot down by unknown adversaries, he was severely wounded. He was later found on the brink of death by a group of Amazons including Nu'Bia and young Princess Diana (later known as Wonder Woman). Caring for him until he was fit for travel, Nu'Bia fell in love with Olivier and gave birth to a son, Emile.

Origins

Olivier stayed with Nu'Bia and raised Emile where was learning about Amazon history and culture until he was six years old, then Olivier stole him away from his mother. Developing the Academy, Olivier sought to create his own private army of metahumans to combat any threat to mankind, including superheroes such as Superman.

Emile was the first student, Olivier having thought Amazon powers were hereditary assumed his child was a viable candidate but soon realized his error. He created the serum Ouroboros, created from the blood of various metahumans which activated latent powers from his paternal line. Years passed and given the codename Epsilon, Emile proved him to be the best of peers, including Beta aka Superboy who was marked second. Weeks before his graduation the Academy was attacked and everyone was freed, Olivier apparently killed in the process. The event mentally scarred Emile and caused long-term amnesia essentially locking his abilities.

He found himself in Gotham City where he found a man in a red hood in pile of garbage after he fell from the roof. He tried to help but the man told him his name was Jason Todd he gave him the "hood" and asked him to take up his moniker, saying he'd know what to do. Emile agreed and stayed with Jason until he died from his injuries. After a minute of reflection and Todd's burial, he put on the helmet and became the Red Hood.

Mercenary

At some point Emile became a mercenary and worked with Blackwater in the Middle East and later Belltower Associates. He enjoyed his time with them though eventually ventured out on his own however.
