-In canon, Bart and Iris Allen had twins named Don and Dawn. (the first being Bart Allen -Kid Flash II-father, with, ironically a woman related to his father archnemesis, Pr. Zoom). Here, Don and Dawn are still in kindergarten, with Dash as a big brother.

-His name mean "fast", and an homage to "The Incredibles" 's character of the same name and powers. It also keep the D themed name for kids.

-He's based physically and mentally on Wally West as he appears in "Justice League" animated series.
