Captain Alpha, nicknamed Cap, Alpha, or Cap Alpha, aka John W.Smith was a former golden age Superhero, based in Metropolis, he battled the Nazis during world 2, and later during the cold war he fought against the communist forces. He later lead Team America against villains such as Lex Luthor, General Grodd, Joker, Posion Ivy, Mister Freeze, and other threats. He was a close friend and rival to Batman, he tried to convince Bruce to retire and give up the life of crimefighting pointing to a massive decrease in crime, and the birth of new technology.
He later would retire after the death of his wife, due to brain cancer. He moved to Neo-Gotham and taught history at Terry's high-school. Following the events of return to the Joker, he like Batman aka Bruce Wayne took upon someone to carry on his name his grandson Marcus Smith the son of his daughter and former superheroine Sgt Beta.
Origin
John W. Smith was born on May 4th 1927, bloodtype B+, the only child of his mother and father, his father later died, and his mother remarried another man who already had a son Jason Maritza, who later become Smiths arch-nemesis Captain Devilishly.
John Smith, excelled at physics, and all subjects minus PE, which his step brother excelled more at personal education and sports, the two never got along and often got into fights.
World war 2
In 1946, the Nazi's and the axies haven't been defeated yet. Under the leadership of the feared General Kaiser Van Hadrian, the allies were losing ground. In a last ditch effort to defeat the Nazi's, the Americans uncovered an alien artifact , which can grant anyone super powers. They decided to create a team of super powered humans. John was chosen, as the first test subject, which was a success, and Captain Alpha was born.
Fighting the Nazi's in Europe
Captain Alpha went on to fight the Nazi's in Europe defeating the Nazi's where every they were. From Italy to Romania, Alpha crushed and halted the nazi advances.
During the war, Alpha battled against a large number of his Rogues galley including a crazed nazi scientist, a supersoldier, and a ancient demon.
Assault on Hadrians castle
Alpha lead a joint allied assault on, Hadrians castle in Norway. While there Captain Alpha met his match against the Nazi super soldier Captain Devilishly who turned out to be his step brother Jason Maritza. Who was upset that John got chosen to be a supersoldier instead of Jason. Jason was approached by a undead immortal Nazi officer Hendrick Van Foul, and a zombie officer Rosenberg.
