History

Burūsu is the Japanese vigilante known as Bat who constantly patrols Kyoto. The main difference between Burūsu and his well-known counterpart is that Burūsu brutally murders criminals with actions such as dropping a man from the top of a skyscraper and even going so far as to break necks.

The Accused Bat

One night while on evening patrol, the Bat had gone too far when he confronted two Yakuza members after seeing them pull a pocket knife on a helpless woman. The Bat murdered both men and took off before the Japanese police could catch him. The Bat was once assumed to be a Japanese folktale. Since the police have seen him, he became the most wanted man in all of Japan. The Bat was not alone. He had the boy who would become Robin staying at his side.
